Al Sharpton said "I think that we've got to be honest... Among Hispanic men and black men, there's a lot of misogyny..."
Of all the Black men who voted, 81% of them voted blue.
53% of Hispanic men also voted blue.
I told a few people that Kamala was a bad candidate and this earned me a MAGA tag even though I repeatedly said I was not for Trump. I read several posts and comments by those who were convinced that Kamala would win. One aunty even blocked me because I challenged her view and asked her to consider that a Trump win was possible. She went on and on about reproductive rights.
Kamala being a bad candidate has nothing to do with morals or Trump. As a politician who was gifted the democratic party ticket to run for president, her performance has been woeful. Trump signed on RFK Jnr and Tulsi while Kamala got the Chaneys and a host of others.
The people were talking about grocery prices but Kamala prioritized abortion rights. They ran with plenty assumptions; they were convinced they had the colored vote, the rainbow vote and even the votes of the young people. Vivek and a host of others went to many campuses speaking with students, Tulsi and others attended several varsity sports games reaching out to the female teams especially the ones that pulled out of games against a team that fields a transgender player.
Trump was Trump, he executed similar tactics from 2016 and bulldozed his way but this time with a youthful JD Vance. The Trump camp tried to stay on policy but the Democrats veered off by attacking personalities and deploying propaganda like the talk about Trump wanting to execute Ms Chaney. She was told very early that she was not answering any questions and speaking to the press. She ignored and waited for her single debate with Trump. She suddenly started granting interviews but was so unconvincing, deploying the same rehearsed lines over and over again. This is why she was a bad candidate. She couldn't convince anyone who was undecided that she had a grasp of what the issues were.
Kamala performed woefully in her townhall with CNN and the one with Oprah. She looked like a puppet more than anything. She evaded questions when she could have provided simple answers. "I was raised in a middle class family... My mother saved up to buy our first home... I prosecuted transborder criminal gangs and cartels..." She was boring as hades.
Elon went after them. He pushed in all his chips and he had his reasons. They say it's because he wants to make more money but Elon said months ago that it's because of his child. They have been lamenting about Elon being a billionaire as if there are no billionaires who backed Kamala. YouTube buried Joe Rogan's interview with Trump and let most Harris Ads run without the option to skip.
They said Pa Biden was fit as a fiddle until they ousted him after the debate with Trump. It wasn't misogyny or sexism that made the democratic party leaders impose Kamala instead of conducting a primary. Racism had nothing to do with the choice of Walz who most people agree was defeated by Vance in their debate. People watched Vance go from media house to media house and on Rogan's podcast, many were impressed with him despite his "childless cat ladies" gaffe. Kamala couldn't make out time for Rogan.
Hilary won the popular vote in 2016. She got about 65 million to Trump's 62 million. The total votes went up in 2020. Biden had 81 million while Trump had 74 million. For 2024, Trump so far has 72 million while Kamala has 67 million. If it was really about Americans not wanting a "mixed race woman married to a Jew," Trump's numbers from 2020 would have gone up. I think Kamala simply did not inspire enough people nationally to edge Trump considering how Biden was substituted and how many potentially aggrieved party members exist because of how she emerged unopposed. The other elections held yesterday did not also favor the Democrats. Yesterday's election was a statement but it appears many on the Democratic party side are still ignoring the lessons.
They have blamed misogynistic black and Latino men, uneducated white women and racist white men just like the virtual Nigeria president and his supporters have been doing since they lost last year. Tagging Trump and his supporters fascists, Nazis and all manner of 'phobes' was never going to work. She was told that she hadn't been to the border 3 years ago and she replied that she had not been to Europe. This disconnect is part of what her opponents held on to.
This moral and intellectual supremacy that the Democrats adopted obviously didn't work. Will they do their homework and learn from their errors? Will they summon the ghost of childless cat ladies if Vance somehow emerges as the Republican flag bearer in 4 years? Trump went low and they also went low. They said Trump was a warmonger before the 2016 election; they are already focusing on him being a dictator. Thank God it's only 4 years and they should hopefully let him be.
